LadyBird

Farms

LadyBird Farms is a small farm, located just 8 miles south of Pocatello, Idaho. Nestled on just an acre of land (for now!), we practice organic and sustainable farming methods, growing over 50 varieties of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. LadyBird Farms was founded in 2008 and is a community supported agriculture project, designed to build, empower, and support our region’s community food system. When all is said and done, we find ourselves growing more than just good food!

We are pleased to offer the majority of our harvest as a CSA membership! We also are working to provide more delicious produce to local restaurants, the Pocatello Co-op and the Idaho Food Bank.

LadyBird Philosophy
We believe in good food, good earth, and good community. The mission of LadyBird Farms is to provide sustainable, affordable and healthy food to the Portneuf Foodshed through the development and coordination of a working farm and educational program. We envision a dynamic and enduring partnership between local farmers and consumers who strive for ecological, economical, and socially just ways to grow and eat our food. We believe change happens when a person connects their passion and talents with the needs of the community and
that no matter what, we can make a powerful impact when we BE the change we wish to see in the world.
LadyBird Opportunities

LadyBird History
In the spring of 2008, Jessica quit her real job and decided to finally dig into her passion for sustainable agriculture. Almost instantly, things fell into place. After being offered farming space in the Portneuf Gap outside of Pocatello, Jessica met Chelsey and Jeremy (who were also following their passion for local agriculture) and soon, along with a slew of volunteers and incredible community support and donations---they were in the thick of it. It of course wouldn’t be possible without the fantastic wisdom and support from the landowner, Mr. John Dudunake and his wonderful family!
